Quick, easy to make and refreshing – this Caramel Frappuccino is our favorite coffee house copycat recipe!
I hope you all had a fabulous weekend! For my College Meal Monday post, I thought I’d share with you a recipe for a quick, easy and much better than Starbucks, Caramel Frappuccino. I’ve got absolutely nothing against Starbucks. In fact, before my agonizing wait in my daughter’s middle school car line, I often make a quick stop at our local Starbucks to pick up a Soy Latte. But really, Frappuccinos are quite expensive and I find them to be extremely sweet. With this recipe, the degree of sweetness can be adjusted to suit your taste and preference.
My daughter actually came up with this recipe. She loves Starbucks Caramel Frappuccinos and one morning before school she wanted to experiment and try to make her own. It took a few tries but over several mornings, we managed to get the ratios perfect!
So if Starbucks is not on your way, you want to save a few bucks or just want to make it just the way you want, this recipe is for you.
Here’s all you need:
* 2 cups ice
* 1/2 cup cold coffee
* 2-3 tablespoons sugar or truvia ( you control the amount of sweetness )
* 1/2 cup milk
* 2 1/2-3 tablespoons caramel syrup
* whipped cream (optional)
Put all of the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until the ice is crushed.
A few notes: Instant coffee works well too. Prepare your instant coffee, let it cool and proceed with the recipe.
If you like Mocha Frappuccinos, replace chocolate syrup with the caramel syrup.
If you come up with your own combinations, add it as a comment below.
