Two champagne flutes of Limoncello Champagne Aperitifs garnished with a lemon slice with a pool in the background

Totally refreshing Limoncello Champagne Aperitifs, a mix of sweet limoncello combined with a splash of champagne. A perfect drink for the summer.

Last Sunday, my husband and I were outside in our backyard reading and relaxing. It was late in the afternoon, the sun was beaming down on us and we were starting to really feel the heat. I was heading inside the house to bring out a nice glass of chilled chardonnay when I switched gears and decided to open up a bottle of champagne.

Why wait for a special occasion to drink champagne? I always feel a bit indulgent when I treat myself to champagne but why not celebrate everyday?

As you may remember, I’ve written that my husband makes his own limoncello here at home! But you can find limoncello at your local liquor store.

Why This Recipe Works

  • Limoncello Champagne Aperitifs are delicious!
  • It’s so easy to make.
  • It is a very refreshing drink.

Ingredient Notes

This recipe only calls for champagne and limoncello.

Add a couple tablespoons of limoncello to a glass of champagne to create limoncello champagne aperitifs. The sweetness in the limoncello compliments the champagne and adds a touch of brightness.

My personal favorite champagne to use is Korbel. The price of Korbel champagnes are reasonable and their quality is superb, so they make it easy! We’ve been fortunate to have visited Korbel several times when traveling to Sonoma County in California and have always enjoyed ourselves. They have a beautiful winery nestled between the trees in the Russian River area. They also have a wonderful restaurant we enjoy for lunch. We can’t wait to visit again!

What Should I Serve With Limoncello Champagne Aperitifs?

Limoncello Champagne Aperitifs are the perfect pre-dinner drink. The French call it an aperitif because it helps to stimulate the appetite. They go perfectly with a plate of meats and cheeses or other small snacks.

** These opinions are my own and Korbel has not asked me or paid me to give a review of their Champagnes. However, if they decided to send me a few bottles, I’ll gladly accept them 🙂

Enjoy!
