Strawberry Lemonade

This homemade strawberry lemonade is made with just 4 ingredients! Fresh strawberries, lemon juice, water, and lightly sweetened with a touch of honey. So refreshing and wonderfully delicious!

Warmer weather calls for cool and refreshing drinks - ones that not only quench the thirst but cool you down with sweet citrusy flavors. One of my favorite drinks of summer is fresh squeezed lemonade and there's no better lemonade recipe than this homemade lemonade made with fresh strawberries.

A few simple ingredients make this lemonade a refreshing beverage and when you add in puréed strawberries, this strawberry lemonade becomes something really special.

How To Make The Recipe

  1. Add the strawberries and 1/2 cup of lemon juice to a blender. Blend on high for a minute or until smooth.
  2. Force the strawberry puree through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl to remove seeds.

3. Stir together the puree, remaining lemon juice, water and honey in a large pitcher.

4. Serve over ice.

Expert Tips

  • This strawberry lemonade will keep well in the refrigerator for a few days.
  • I recommend using freshly squeezed lemon juice, but you can use bottled lemon juice if you'd prefer.
  • When I make up a batch of fresh squeezed lemonade, I rarely add sugar. I use honey instead. The honey mixes easily with water and gives lemonade the perfect amount of sweetness.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries , rinsed, trimmed and sliced in half
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (this was 7-8 of my own lemons)
  • 5 cups water
  • 3/4 cup honey (to taste)
