These lightly sweet mini pear pies are a lovely size when you simply want a bite or two of something sweet.

We picked up some beautiful Bartlett pears at the store a few days earlier and decided to make these adorable Mini Pear Pies.  Talk about an easy dessert to make! I used Pillsbury Ready Made Pie Crusts which saved me so much time!

Why This Recipe Works

  • If you’re looking for an easy fruit pie recipe, especially if you’re a beginner or a timid baker look no further than these mini pies.
  • These mini pear pies are made with ingredients that you may likely have on hand.
  • These lightly sweet, petit desserts are perfect when you want a bite or two of something sweet.

Ingredient Notes

See recipe box below for ingredient amounts and full recipe instructions.

  • Refrigerated pie crusts: I used Pillsbury Ready Made Pie Crusts.
  • Pears: Use your favorite type of pear. I usually eat Bartlett pears so this is usually the kind I use.
  • Sugar: Granulated sugar is mixed in with the pears which add sweetness and flavor to the pie.
  • Flour: All-purpose flour is used to thicken the filling.
  • Salt: For flavor.
  • Nutmeg: For flavor. You might also like to add a pinch of cinnamon or allspice too.

How To Make This Recipe

  1. Unroll pie crusts, one at a time. Using the rim of a drinking glass, cut out circles from the dough.
  2. Place the dough circles into each muffin tin.

Expert Tips

  • Use firm pears.
  • You can mix together the filling for the mini pear pies and keep it in your refrigerator until you are ready to use it. The flavors really come together the longer the pears mingle with the nutmeg and sugar.
  • Apples can be used in place of pears.
  • Serve with fresh whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
