Strawberry Buttercream Frosting

A perfect recipe for icing or decorating a cake or cupcakes. The strawberry syrup gives the frosting a wonderful flavor and vibrant color.

  • 1 cup salted butter softened, 2 sticks
  • 4 cups confectioners sugar powdered
  • 3 tablespoons strawberry syrup I use Walden Farms brand
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream


  • Beat the butter for a few minutes with a mixer fitted with the paddle attachment on medium speed.
  • Reduce the speed to the lowest speed setting and add one cup of the confectioners sugar at a time until the sugar has fully incorporated with the butter.
  • Add the strawberry syrup and the heavy cream and increase the speed of the mixer to medium and beat for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
