Strawberry Buttercream Frosting
A perfect recipe for icing or decorating a cake or cupcakes. The strawberry syrup gives the frosting a wonderful flavor and vibrant color.
- 1 cup salted butter softened, 2 sticks
- 4 cups confectioners sugar powdered
- 3 tablespoons strawberry syrup I use Walden Farms brand
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
Beat the butter for a few minutes with a mixer fitted with the paddle attachment on medium speed.
Reduce the speed to the lowest speed setting and add one cup of the confectioners sugar at a time until the sugar has fully incorporated with the butter.
Add the strawberry syrup and the heavy cream and increase the speed of the mixer to medium and beat for about 2-3 minutes until smooth.
