I've taken my moist, flavorful and packed with bananas Banana Bread and elevated it to a whole new level by topping it with a sweet and crumbly streusel topping! I'm calling this my Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread with Streusal Topping, otherwise known as "best banana bread ever!".

1 1/2teaspoonsbaking soda
4bananas(the riper the better)
3/4cupbutter, melted and cooled (1 1/2 sticks)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and lightly grease a 9 by 5-inch loaf pan.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt; set aside.
Mash 2 of the bananas with a fork in a small bowl, leaving a few chunky pieces; set aside.
In a separate large bowl, whip the remaining bananas and sugar together until creamy, about 3 minutes.
Add the melted butter, eggs and vanilla; mix well.
Mix in the dry ingredients just until incorporated.
Gently stir in mashed bananas.
Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Using your hands, crumble the streusal mixture over the top of the banana bread, pressing down very gently.
Bake for about 1 hour, until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
Cool the bread in the pan for about 5 minutes, then transfer pan to a wire rack to continue cooling.
TO MAKE THE STREUSEL TOPPING
Combine the flour, brown sugar, cinnamon and softened butter in a small bowl until well mixed.
Crumble over top of banana bread before baking.
If making muffins, instead of using a loaf pan, line 12 muffin tins with liners and divide batter evenly into the muffin tin. Top each muffin with the streusel topping and bake as directed.
