A few weeks ago our old friends who recently moved away came in town for a visit. These friends lived in the same neighborhood as we did and our kids grew up together. When we learned they were coming for a visit, we knew we wanted to get together.
Another friend of ours made a few phone calls and before we knew it, we had a brunch planned. It was sort of a quickly thrown together party, but those are sometimes the best kind. After all, to have a great party all you really need are good friends, good food, lots of laughter and in our case, lots of reminiscing.
I made an quick Spinach Salad with crumbled bacon, sliced strawberries and crumbled feta. For the dressing, I made this wonderful small batch Poppyseed Dressing which had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy.
