Towel Characters at Disney Resorts, little "gifts" that add a little more magic to an already magical stay.
This trip is all about spending time together as a couple and using Walt Disney Resort more as a backdrop to our vacation than focused on the rides. With all the great resort hotels, recreational activities, parks and restaurants, there is something for any couple.
When we decided to come to Walt Disney World for our anniversary trip we knew that we wanted to spend time together and not focus on "doing" the parks. We have taken many trips with our family and have thoroughly enjoyed each visit, being there from the rope drop to being some of the last people to leave the park. This time we booked a couple of restaurants in advanced to make sure we get in, but other than that we did not have a real plan.
If you're traveling to Walt Disney World, be sure to stop at Kona Island in the Polynesian Village Resort. It's a great sushi stop in Walt Disney World...
It is now a tradition with us to stop into La Cava Del Tequila at least one time during a visit to Disney World to enjoy a great margarita and get an order of chips with Guacamole (always fresh with large chunks of Avocado).
The addition of Via Napoli in 2010 brought the great energy of the typical Italian casual dining experience I have had in Italy. Now with the wine bar with great food of Tutto Gusto, Walt Disney World has offers the full Italian wine and food experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed our selection of great dishes as well as watching the sous chefs’ artistry. Throughout our meal, we were having conversations with the chefs from preparation techniques to their experiences as chefs at Disney.
... this trip we took things at a slower pace. EPCOT World Showcase is a great place for couples with a relaxed atmosphere, great sights and so many food and drink options that make it easy to enjoy time alone.
Starting off at the Boardwalk Resort we walked over to the French Pavilion which is a favorite of ours with the great food and wine selection. We picked up a Turkey and Brie baguette at the Boulangerie Patisserie shop and then walked across the alley to La Maison du Vin and picked up two glasses of Sauvion Vouvray 2010 wine (great white wine from the Loire Valley in France).
